Welcome aboard from West Virginia, Brother!! I think you have found one of the most congenial and knowledgable forums on the Internet. Although I mostly collect Smuth and Wessons and Colts, I have a beautiful Finnish M 39... Reworked from a Russian M 91 receiver, but with a new heavy barrel and new Finnish stock. When I got it, it appeared to be unfired...bore was pristine. I understand that these were used to great effect in the Winter War.

The closest I have been to Finland was a visit to Lake Ladoga.
