I'm very glad to be here. I'm one of those who actually reads the terms of use and rules and regulations before joining something (occupational hazard). I was impressed by the depth and detail of this information here. I happen to agree with all of it, however much it makes me feel like a dinosaur. I've always thought it best to proceed with courtesy and expect the same from others. Why all the details? Gun folks are some of the nicest people around. Our modern electronic world just allows people to hide behind their keyboards and pour out contempt and disrespect. It's great that such things are not tolerated here.
I'm retired now, and not really by choice. Let's just say that middle age has not been kind to me. I'm hoping to find the S&W Forum to be a refuge of sanity and reality apart from what is presented as the "real world" of today.
Besides, I finally own a Smith again. I picked up a nice Model 57 recently, and hope to learn all about it.

. I find this forum to be great therapy for an aging gun nut . You'll enjoy it here .
