Hello everyone on the forum.
I'm a Glock guy just wanted to say that up front. My first S&W was a used Shield 9mm I bought from a friend who wanted the money to buy a Glock, i do like it and it shoots good. I keep it in my vehicle as a backup.
For the last 6 years I've wanted the 500 Magnum so 3 weeks ago I finally made the plunge and bought the 8 3/8" barreled model, it does kick my *** to shoot and I think I permanently injured my hand from shooting 30 rounds through it my first day of owning i, 15 of thought rounds we'really called Bear loads from HSN. But I love the cannon anyway.
I decided I wanted a small carry revolver for a backup in an ankle holster and for carrying appendix style in the summer with shorts and my Glock 43 in my pocket. I wanted to find something lighter then my 2" barreled Ruger SP101. So after looking at the Ruger LCR, the S&W M&P Bodyguard I liked the S&W 642 Airweight better.
So, even though I'm a Glock guy and do own many I do now own 3 Smith & Wesson's and do love them so far.
Glad to be a member of the forum.
