Hello from San Juan, Puerto Rico

Welcome! I grew up in Central Aguirre, a sugar plantation, on the south side of the island, my Dad worked there from 1952 till 1962 a wonderful place!
Not very gun friendly, but, good fishing.

That's very nice. I was born and raised in Ponce, very close to Central Aguirre, and my wife is from Salinas, where Central Aguirre is located. We recently moved to San Juan in search for better jobs, we like it here, but not as much as the south though. Not friendly at all towards guns, but we hope we can change that soon.

During our time in Puerto Rico my Dad spent 3 years as Manager of Central Cortada, not far from Ponce, then owned by Aguirre. It was nice living there too, we had horses for good riding along the hills.
I remember Salinas well too, the plaza, the Panaderia near the old highway, especially the "Chillo al Mojo" and tostones at Ladi's Restaurant at Playita Salinas.
