I am brand spanking new to revolvers. My other pistols are CZ Semis.

I wanted a smaller firearm for times when I am out jogging, walking, heat of the summer here in shorts, etc.; something to just slip in a pocket and run somewhere. I looked at many of the tiny so-called "mouse guns" and I just could not remotely warm up to those things. No way. Felt like they might just fall apart on me.

I wanted reliability for a non-primary CCW. My first thought turned to revolvers. Yes, the Model 642/442 j-frame fit the bill.

I purchased a NIB 442 yesterday. Folks, I'm eager to get to the range to begin practicing with my first revolver; but, I am already pleased with the feel, shape, and weight.

My SA's will be completely CZech-made; but for a revolver the choice of maker was easy.

I am proud to now own an S&W firearm.

Now I just need to find a reliable/affordable/moisture-wicking-or resistant pocket holster for my 442.

Any particular brand-model that gets the most praise? I know how subjective it is.

Thanks folks. Happy to be here!:)
