Greetings to all, at first glance, this seems to be a great place for solid information and just general civility. Kudos to all of you for being so open, giving and kind in your advice and knowledge.
So, I have been shooting for over 40 years, but pulled my first trigger last year. ? Well, I am a cinematographer turned into a gun nut. I actually shot my grandfathers shotgun once when I was 6 as he held me in his arms on the hood of his Studebaker. We bagged a few pheasant that day. But after that I was away from guns until last year, when I was bit by the gun bug.
I just bought my first gun, a Springfield 1911 Range Officer, I couldn't pass it up as it was $500 for a case, holster, 2 clips and clip holder all in great condition. I have fired S&W Governor and 4506 and fell in love with both.
Any recommendations on what S & W gun to try if I am accustomed to a 1911? Thanks and greetings to all from ridiculously cold Chicago.
