Hello Everyone,
Just joined today. I live waaaay up North of you all in the town of Carleton Place, Ontario.
I got into handguns about 3 years ago and never looked back.
My father and I have collected 4 pistols so far, in order of acquisition;
1. Sig Sauer P226 Elite Dark 9mm
2. Ruger mkii 5" bbl 22cal
3. Browning BuckMark contour URX 5" 22cal
And last but CERTAINLY not least...is our most recent addition to the family.....wait for it...
4. A brand new, unfired 1988 Smith & Wesson Model 41 with a 5.25" barrel complete with a set of laminated cocobolo wood grips. In addition to the gun is also the original box, papers, cleaning kit, an exploded parts diagram, and 2 magazines. We don't have it in our possession as of yet because we're waiting for the paperwork to go through the RCMP. But we are anxiously waiting for the "go" word from the RCMP, then the seller can ship the gun.
When I saw this gun go up on a local forum webpage, as soon as I saw it, my eyes BULGED
Out !! Then when I saw the letters "nib" and "unfired", I was all over it like white on rice. And lucky too, because the owner received 5 more emails right after mine. The owner said after he purchased it, it was placed in a vault where it's been ever since. But trust me gang, my father and I fully intend to do what that fine piece of hardware was designed for... to shoot !!
Ok, enough of boring you all to death, I have a question;
I looked in the table of contents for the forum topics, but I didn't see one specific to the model #41. Can any of you point me to the right place? I have a few questions and would like a few pointers on this fine firearm.
Thanks again y'all, and look forward to being active asap !!
