We'll, I'm new to the Forum, and love S&W's.
I live in the Phoenix area and spend a lot of time at the ranges.
Retired 30 years U.S. Army.
I have one S&W in particular that I believe is a model 1905, and looks like the Victory 38 Specials. But this one has no V in the Serial number, just (997xxx) on bottom of grip and has the lanyard ring. Serial number matches throught out and has no U. S. Property stamping. I believe it has the original Black Magic finish and is in excellent condiltion.
Can anyone tell me the history (date, purpose, destination, etc) of this revolver.
Thanks from Phoenix
