Bought my first handgun this past weekend and am looking forward to learning how to shoot it properly. I bought a used S&W 5904.
I was gold panning year and noticed the others all had holstered handguns. I asked about it and they said that there were mountain lions sighted in the area.
I always thought target shooting looked like fun, but the lions provided a little more motivation. (I enjoy my position at the top of the food chain and intend to keep it that way.)
I am considering a concealed carry permit someday, but until I learn a lot more about shooting, I would be more of a danger to myself than anything, so I will wait until I am reasonably proficient before I do that.
Anyway... looking forward to interacting on the forum and getting some advice as I know enough to ask questions.
