I just signed up to the forum this morning. I bought a new SD9VE earlier this spring. To be honest, at first I found it difficult to shoot accurately, especially compared to my 9mm revolver. However with some good instruction and plenty of range time I can get nice groupings at 10-15 yards. The gun is completely stock, no modifications at all. I've put over 1000 rounds through so far without a hiccup and with no signs of wear.

Welcome to the forum, Carguy59. Your experience is not uncommon with the SD9VE. Glad you like it.
Has the trigger started to become a little easier to pull now with 1K rounds thru it?

I'm a fan and member of the SD-VE No Mods group. No spring changes, no trigger changes, no coating, no sight changes.

Well, I do admit changing the take down bar but that's not a functional issue, just saves my fingers. (Just 1mm longer, made a big difference. From NDZPerformance- Extended Slide Lock Lever Stainless Steel)

If someone wants a target/match pistol they are available on the market.

Welcome, I am also keeping mine stock. Except for traction grips that is. It's a nice tool that compliments my Ruger.

Hello, I too just got a new sd9ve. Love the power and overall feel of it! Thanks. Mark

Thanks for the warm welcome messages. Yes, Hemi, I've found the trigger pull has smoothed out a little, or maybe I'm just getting used to it. Either way I love my SD.

Welcome from Indiana! My SD9VE and I just celebrated our first year together-almost 1,400 rounds with no issues at all :-) I just added the SD40VE, 3 FS M&P's and a Shield 40-yeah I think I'm hooked!

Enjoy your new SD/VE :-)

Welcome from an old revolver guy in Louisville. If I had the money I'd certainly consider the SD9VE. But I don't, so I'll just say stick around, you'll like it here.
