I know this has been addressed or mentioned somewhere, but I need some detailed info on how to fix the issue of when my 4566TSW is in S/A and you squeeze through you hear & feel a clicking. I'm not sure if it is a spring or a metal piece that can be bent back into shape etc??

If anyone can give a detailed instruction on how to access and or fix I would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks

I may not be much help but I will try. I have not actually looked at the trigger group of a 4566, but the CS45 does the same thing and I know what causes it and how to fix it. If the 4566 trigger group is made the same as the CS45, maybe this will make sense. Remove the slide and look down into the frame at the trigger group from above. There are two blocks that ride right up against each other and flush across the top. The clicking is caused by one of these blocks slipping up out of place as the trigger is pulled. There is a small thin flat strip of metal, that acts as a spring applying pressure to these blocks. Carefully bend that strip a tiny amount to add more pressure until the blocks ride flush as the trigger is pulled. Again, I am describing the CS45. I do not know if this holds true for the 4566 also.

Thanks

Thanks, I appreciate the post replys. I will check it out. I also read another post after asking the question.

Thanks.......The Watchman

I had the same thing on my 4566 which I purchased from Gander Mountain. They have a 12 month warranty on their guns so they sent it in to S & W. I had it back in three weeks with the problem solved. I have no idea what they did as they never say. It works great now. Nice and quiet.

Fixed

Thanks for the help to you all. I followed the advise from some of the posts and during my cleaning I simply identified the metal spring that keeps tension on the trigger. I then pushed it back with a pencil eraser bending it slightly and after I put it back together, success!!

Thanks again guys .......................Greg
