Hey guys, new to this forum, but not new to S&W. I am having a very hard time deciding between the these two models. Any help with this decision would be greatly appreciated. I shot my old .44mag regularly at 100 yards, and took two deer down with it. I am leaning more towards the heavier model, simply because of accuracy and recoil reduction, but I am not completely sold on it yet. I will be mounting my scope on it, so the RDS wouldn't be used. Thank you for your time.

Since you have your own scope, I see no advantage to the Magnum Hunter. I'm also not a big fan of that 2-tone look at all... but that's just me.

The Stealth Hunter is magna-ported... which you may like or dislike. I haven't shot a .44 with a magna-ported barrel but I heard there's some reduction of recoil & muzzle lift, but the noise (to you) is apparently much greater.

On the other side, I don't see the need for the muzzle break on the Magnum Hunter either, unless you just like the look of it.

Anyway, it's darn expensive, but I think the Stealth Hunter wins between the 2.
