Hello,

Maybe someone can help, I recently bought a stack on gun locker to store my handguns and long guns. Everything is great with it but I keep noticing that only one of my guns I keep finding with what looks like bubbles (condensation) near two of the pins that keep the handgun together. The handgun is a Smith and Wesson sd9ve if that matters any but I originally thought it was some oil seeping out from the last time I cleaned it but I keep finding these two same areas with these spots of water/bubbles/condensation. I'll wipe them and come back a day later and there they are again, same spots. To make things even more odd, I bought a lightening rod dehumidifier thinking that would help and I threw some packs of silica gel (just some small ones) in the locker but still every day I am finding that one gun with this same mystery. Any ideas anyone?

If it is just the one gun, thoroughly spray it with brake cleaner then compressed air and see if the problem recurs. If not, 'lightly' re-lubricate and carry on. Hope this is helpful.

Are you sure it's not just oil seeping around pins. Pretty common if there is a little excess oil inside. Wipe it down and dry fire it a few times. Probably will show up again. If so leave it alone or shoot it more.

I have used Rem Oil for years and even guns stored without attention for long periods never any speck of rust. Can't begin to figure how our experiences can be so different.
I have had oil show up for a long time after lubing and wiping off a gun. I think that could be what is happening. Condensation would be showing up on everything in the safe.

Thanks for the replies on here everyone, I appreciate it.
