Recently won several old holsters in an auction. The one below has no markings on it and it came, surprise to me, with a magazine stored in its holder. I don't think it is for a Luger, possibly a P-38. Appreciate any thoughts you can provide. Inside of holster had an area that was "blacked-out" which probably has someone's name/ID.IMG_0802.jpg

Any idea of the cartridge diameter? From photo 4 and the apparent short slide of the pistol, I am thinking perhaps for a Beretta 1934 in .32 or .380 ACP.

Not for a P38. If the mag is correct for the holster, then find out what the mag fits. Looks familiar.

I thought about other short military issued handguns (PP/PPK/Makarov, etc.) but the end of the holster where the muzzle fits is pretty squared off, and I'm not sure the Communists had enough cows to make leather holsters. ;)

It looks like a High Power holster, if the spare mag pouch is for a double stack then it most likely is. Look for a 3 letter code and date. It obviously has had the incorrect pistol stored in it for some time.
