Help identifing older 38spl Hand Ejector

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone could date this older Hand Ejector
that I picked up off of GB a few months ago.
It's in nice shape and shoots great.
All help will be welcome.

Between 1922 and 1928. Someone should be able to get it a little closer

Welcome to the Forum. Don't forget to post the caliber when inquiring about S&Ws since some models, including the K frame Military & Police were made in multiple calibers. These K frame revolvers could be bought in both 32-20 and 38 Special back in the day. Fortunately, the serial number was too high to be a 32-20. Guns around yours were shipped in 1927. It is properly named a 38 Hand Ejector, Military & Police, 4th Change.

I'm guessing it shipped late '26 or early '27.

The closest I have to yours shipped 4/26; s/n 5358xx.

Thanks guys for the help. The gun is older than I thought.
I originally bought it for a nightstand gun but it's too nice
to be knocking around a drawer. So ended up buying a Ruger
Security Six in 357. That turned out to be real nice also.
Will post pictures in another thread.
