Try measuring the barrel from the leading edge of the cylinder to the end of the muzzle. This will give you the nominal barrel length. I take it you don't have the original box? A full photo would be nice.
The serial number puts it in 1973. As Dave said, measure the barrel from
the front of the cylinder to the muzzle to see what the barrel length is.
Good gun, and nice to have if you stumble on a critter bigger than you that's hungry!

Thank you for your information. This piece was a gift in the late 70's at a time when I owned only a 357 Trooper, and a 1911. My buddy said "Here you can shoot through whatever they are hiding behind". So true. The pistol came in a presentation box (the blue rubber interior gave up a long time back) but the box is in good shape. It's been shot. Our group used to reload all week so we could shoot on Saturday. Can't tell you how many 165 gr rounds powered by Blue Dot have been through this barrel. I never put it in a holster so it looks like a closet queen until you look closer at the business parts. Oh yes e/w is "equipped with"- phone company jargon...
