The target logo on the grips is 'Harrington & Richardson', (Worcester?), Mass.,, I believe.
Should be some markings on the the top of the barrel rib or even the top of the frame over the cylinder with the company name & address in it. Possibly some patent dates also.

If it is the H&R,,I think it would be the 'Safety Hammer Double Action' model.

I think so 38s to big and a 22 is too small and I dont have any 32 laying around anywhere

That is a Harrington & Richardson "Auto-Ejector" top-break revolver. The 6-shot .32 S&W (or 5-shot .38 S&W) were built on the large frame. There is normally a hammer spur that must have been removed. The hammerless style had the hammer completely shrouded by the frame.

If you remove the grips (carefully!) there should be a serial number on the side or bottom of the frame. This number (or part thereof) should match other parts. Such as the barrel and topstrap and cylinder.

If the cylinder unscrews from the quill, you have a New Model. If you lift the top latch and press a button to hold the latch up to slide the cylinder off, you have an Old Model.

A good schematic of parts is here.

I have a few of these old top-breaks. They are fun and interesting pieces of history.

I'm pretty sure you have a large frame H&R Safty Hammer Double Action in 32 S&W long. With a broken trigger return spring. The Safety Hammer series had bobbed hammers like that from the factory.
