Hey guys maybe you can help me figure out a S&W that's at my school. I happened to notice this a couple days ago in a display. These are some cell phone pic's for now.

I know the one on the left is a S&W what model is it? I'm not sure whats on the right.

The experts will be along. The one on the left looks like a .44 Double Action. The one on the right is an early hand ejector, a .32 2nd, I think.

What is the significance of the display, if I may ask. In a school in CA, egads! Must be a military school.

Left side is a relic condition S&W .44 Double action ( New Model navy No. 3) in cal .44S&W Russian. The gun on the right could be a .32, 32-20 or .38S&W Special caliber, in Models 1899 to 1905 depending on caliber, etc. All are Hand Ejector models. If you can get the serial numbers from the butts, we can pin down the exact model. Ed #15

rimfired it's actually a private Christian University of all places. I'm going to talk to the guy that runs that area and see if he'll let me check them out.

Shawn, we dote on provenance and good photo's. Even though your specimens are apparently both relics I'm sure any history accompanied by better photo's and serial numbers will get you a much better response. Welcome to the forum!
