OK, I have a 2014 Challenger R/T I bought in 13 which has 6800 miles on it I paid 29,000.00 12/2013 OTD. I also have a 2015 F150 XLT with 53000 miles and paid 39,000.00 08/2015 out the door. I have a chance to trade both for a 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab 4x4 loaded to the gills (56,500 sticker) and adding a lifetime warranty which covers everything but wear items, bed rug, hard flip back cover, all weather mats.

Reasons to:Challenger is just a garage ornament. 1 less ins and registration cost. more space in garage. I like the truck. I think the deal is pretty fair.

Reasons not: Love my F150, no problems so far. Love my Challenger (but seldom use it as stated in above mileage). I really have trust issues with FCA products.

I'm at the point to let my wife make the choice  I'm getting old lol.

What ye all say ?

How much rust in on the Ram?

Answer as often as necessary! ;)

I ran a carwash for several years, I know what you mean, BUT, I've been doing research and they seem to have cured that problem , been on all the Ram forums for a week.

Think I am missing something...

...you will end up with two (2) pickups?

No bueno if that is the result.

My apology if I missed something important to the debate.

Be safe.

Sorry if it's confusing, I tried to type it quick, trading the 2 used vehicles for 1 new one

The Ford you have should be a great truck that will last for years. I have one nice truck for myself and an SUV for my wife and that's all the vehicles I want or need. I'm at the age I want fewer things to hassle with, not more. By the way I just bought a new 18' Ram quad cab pickup and it's pretty loaded with most of the power stuff -windows, locks, tilt, cruise, infotainment/blue tooth, keyless entry, etc. and I love it and paid $24,300 OTD.

I recently got a 2019 Ram Rebel after owning 5 Chevrolet trucks in about 20 years. I'm really liking it so far. Drive the Ram, then decide.

On a strictly dollars and cents basis, I'd get the new truck, purely for the practical reason of not having any repair liability due to warranty, and I like the dependability of new vehicles, on my frequent road trips.

Plus, driving something different is fun. Variety ...spice...life.

Go for the deal. No payments, single vehicle insurance, warranty, good gas mileage with the 8 speed auto trans. What's not to like. [emoji106]

I'm not a Ram truck fan so I'd pass.
You're gonna take a huge hit on the Ram's depreciation (immediately) not to mention (at least around here) they don't seem to hold their value very well.

However, I also own a F150 XLT and am a big Mopar car fan!

Good luck with your decision. What YOU want is most important.

I'd forget the Ram and trade them for another F150 or a Silverado.

Don't know if still an issue but on a quiet night you could hear a Chrysler rust.
Rust as fast as a kudzu vine.
