Any info would be appreciated.
The S&W family starting from the 39 on just about all use the same dimensions on the slide. Some may be longer, the .45 series are a tad wider, and now several have a rail under the dust cover. So, many will interchange and fit well.
If your looking for a duty/processional/daily use holster, by all means get the best.
But if your like most of us occasional users, the used market is a good place to start.
I just picked a couple holsters on ebay for a new(to me) CS9.
One was a Safariland 070 1495, duty rig for the 59xx family.
Another was a Bianchi 13H holster that can be belted mounted or attached to a shoulder harness.
The last one was a IWB for a J frame.
I also own other holsters for Colt 1911, Glock, and S&W(j,k,n) frames that do double duty.
The only problem I have had lately was the new CS9 and the double safety lever. It's a bit fat and one of the 59xx holsters thumb catch can't snap. I plan to send the CS9 to the PC for a tune and single sided lever.
Net Net, use you imagination.
eBay has discounted new and deep-discounted use holsters. If you have a local gun show even better. A little searching can turn up opportunities..
I have about a doz pistols & revolvers, probably 2 doz holsters. Most are multi-use, with the exception being my little NAA .22 mag and most times I don't bother with the holster for it.
Good Luck...
