I am in the mood for a new .357. I have had a S&W 686, 19, 28, Ruger GP-100, etc...
I have been looking at the S&W 686 ssr (L) frame and the S&W 627 Pro (N) frame and think I want one of these.
Of the two mentioned revolvers which would you choose and why? I will be using it as a plinker, home defense, carry while hunting gun. Thanks for any info.

Well this is a tough decision but for me I would pick the 686 due to the fact is has the old school look with a full underlug. The 627 underlug I like but not like the older ones. Either way you will have a kick a** wheelgun but my vote is the 686.

I'd pick the L frame for ease of carry as well as the ability to handle all the full power .357 you can shoot, but don't go by me. I may be more sensetive to weight than others due to some physical limitations and age.
