Help me get into reloading please.

Yes, it makes sense. Guess I'll go ahead and order powder and bullets, but still would like to be able to find some primers online. thanks

They are very difficult to find online right now. Keep your favorite online vendors website bookmarked and check frequently. When primers become available they typically sell out quickly.

Where in VA are you located?

N.Va., close to D.C.
thanks for the advice, I've got them bookmarked and am checking now...

I am also trying to get into reloading. I am reading 'The ABC's of Reloading' 8th edition. It starts with safety and works its way through the cartridge, pressures and headspace, primers, powders and on and on.

RCBS has a reloading kit that contains everything you need except dies, brass, powder, primers and bullets.

The kit can usually be found for about $250.

You are too far away for this info to do any good then. I was going to let you know that the Gander Mountain store in Mooresville, NC had 12 boxes of 100 Federal Gold Metal Match Large Pistol Primers as of last night about 6 PM. They must have a few bricks left in inventory. Everytime I go in there there are some Fed GMM Large Pistol and Large Pistol Magnum loose boxes on the shelf. I usually go on Monday's. They apparently restock the shelves sometime over the weekend.

Good luck in your internet search and it may be worth calling around to some local gun shops... You may get lucky.

Like has been stated earlier get a reloading book and start reading, My wife bought me a basic reloading kit from RCBS 16 years ago for X-MAS and that is all I use today with just a few additions works great.
Just remember check and double check everything twice if not three times any questions go to the books or try the internet.
The 1 problem you may have today is finding primers but hopefully this will change soon.
Oh and the folks on this board are great with a wealth of knowledge
Carl
