Hello to all of Belgium and thank you for welcoming me among you. :)
I just bought a S & W 41 and I wish to know the year of manufacture if possible.
A number is A484 768 and has a charging indicator. It is in perfect condition and works perfectly.
Thank you to you if you can help me locate it in time.
(Excuse me for my bad English, I use a translator)

Welcome to the forum! Your Model 41 serial # is from 1978 or '79 from the book. Is it a pain for you to own this gun? There wonderfully straight shooters and loads of fun. Please check this site out and you will find there is a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips. I would be intrested to know ammunition your gun likes the most. Welcome again, Kyle
Your English is fine, wish more LIVING here spoke it as well.

I wish I could speak ANY foreign language as well as you speak English.

A big thank you for your answers, is there a book that ranks the dates of manufacture of the S & W? Can you advise me one?
thank you
Luc

LUC, you have one of the last S&W 41s made with the cocking indicator. This indicates the pistol is cocked but not necessarily loaded. Would be interesting to see pictures. Enjoy!!!!

The book with dates of mfg and a gerat deal of information on all S&Ws is "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson" by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas by Krause Publications - Buy.com and other sources. The Third Edition is the most current edition.

Thank you very much Tom for the valuable information you give me, they will help me.
I will try to find this book and buy it, because here in Belgium this model with the cocking indicator is very rare!
Even the importer of the brand S & W did not know this model!
Soon I show some pictures.
friends
Luc
