help needed identifying a model 29

Hello, I am from germany and i consider buying a used model 29. Can anybody help me to get more information about that gun, as there is no internet database for the serial numbers?
The gun i´m talking about is a model 29 target champion, product code 101286, serial no. begins with "ccb". Can anybody help me?

Probably around 1997. If there’s a Spec Ord. Number, that will tell the precise date.

The 4th edition of the Standard Catalog doesn't offer much information; 101286 = 6 "Special Lasered" 44 Target Champion

I have the Smith & Wesson standard catalog fourth edition no numbers no nothing I wouldn’t know where to look. Maybe write or call Smith & Wesson.

I seem to recall seeing a Target Champion here on the forum some time back. It was laser etched and made for export to Europe.
