Help Needed Identifying Top Break

I have what I believe is a model 3 in 38 S&W. But I don't know when it was made or what variation it or what it might be worth. If you could give be a positive ID on the model when it was made and approximate value I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advanct!

Your revolver is a .38 S&W Double Action, 5th
model. These were made between 1909 and 1911
(SN from 539001 to 554077). The grips are not
original. The 5th model was the last model of
this type made.

One of the last ones made of this type. These older double actions are difficult to nail down value today versus a few years ago. I think it would sell in the $400-500 range or a tad more if this filled a slot in someone's collection (not many out there). Someone may have a different value opinion so I am interested in what others think. Overall, great revolver that is under appreciated.

In my experience the 5th Model 38 and 32 DA's are not seen as often as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Models. As Lyle said they maybe worth a slight premium but finding that person willing to pay can be a long wait.
