help on S&W1911SC bob tail questions

I bought a S&W1911SC bob tail through Gunbroker. It only came with a 8+1 magazine. Is a 8+1 better then 7+1 magazines for them? Also what type magazines should I get?
Also on a Youtube SW1911 video I saw a triangle shaped take down tool used. What type tool is it and where can I get one? S&W's site has no info on 1911 takedown tools.

Brownell will have the tools and mags.

I agree with Badquaker. The wilson mags run flawless through my E-Series bob tail.

Different types of mags for different types of bullets. If you shoot any unusual bullets in weight or shape you might want to read up a bit on which ones will work best for your bullet choice. But I imagine you are already searching for articles on this subject. There are a number of articles on this subject on the Cast bullet forum - gunloads.com.

I believe CheckMate is the brand supplied by S&W and they are also excellant.
