I am looking at selling a safe queen. it is a 1998 production 627-2 357 magnum. 5 in. barrel with partridge front sight with gold bead fluted clyinder and inscribed words on both sides of the barrel. left side of barrel says ( smith & wesson) right side says (.357 magnum) bought it new way back when gun list was the only connection to the market. i know it was a limited production run.
serial number ccz73xx product code 148327 spec ord 8302 i know it is considered collectable. almost sent it to be converted to 41 mag because this revolver is so well balanced it is a dream to shoot. i think that 5 in barrels on the n-frame smiths cant be beat. any input to value would be greatly appreciated. i onwed it new and it has not seen even 100 rds down the pipe.

I sold one in the box last year for $1200 but I think I could have gotten more... I don't think I would sell one today for that number.

Funny this thread came up. I had mine out last night to put a set of Altamont stocks on it. Mine is exactly like yours, same serial number down to the xx.
I paid 1300 plus tax back in 2019.
