Help please. EZ9 FF

Tried the forum Gun Smith page with no help. Maybe the answer is here. Son's new (200 rnds) EZ 9 was experiencing FF with 2 particular mags. Striped the gun, cleaned and oiled it, and polished the feed ramp. Removed burrs from the mag followers and polished the mag lips. Still having occasional FFs but less than before. The slide now occasionally returns to battery so slow that it can be seen moving. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, S&W Customer Service should be your next contact.

Could be an ammo related problem? Try a quality ammo if you can get your hands on some. If you are using reman ammo it could be a quality issue.

Contact S&W. I purchased my wife one and it acted the same way. I polished everything I could and tried different ammo and mags and every time I thought I'd figured it out, it would do it again. I finally contacted S&W and they sent a label for me to send it in. I got it back in about 4 weeks with a note saying the boltface had been replaced and it has fired flawlessly since.

Thanks, Bobby. Ran 200 rnds of assorted good quality FMJ through it Monday. No problems. However, if that issue pops up again, I have SW CS on speed dial and will give them a call.
