Help Removing a prewar S&W Barrel

It’s been so long since I have changed out a barrel on a revolver that I need some help:

1. Do you drive out the barrel retention pin from right to left or left to right?

2. Do you reinsert the pin right to left or left to right?

3. Standing behind the revolver, once the barrel is secured in the vice, do you turn the frame counterclockwise or clockwise to separate the barrel from the frame?
