I picked up a nice S&W 19-3 that's had some work done to it. It was done 25-30yrs ago from a someone in North Carolina because that's where the guy lived that I got the pistol from. He shot competition and can't remember who did the work. It's stamped on the bottom of the lug (300 GS) and that's it. The barrel is not marked anywhere else.

If you have any insight as to who made this barrel, please let me know.

Thanks,

Here are some pics:

It looks like one serious target revolver. Who ever did the work was good.

I have had work done by "300 Gunsmith" several times years ago. However, they were located in Denver. The fellow that started the company passed away and the shop continued for several years. They did nice work. They have been gone for a long time now.

Thanks for the info into 300 Gunsmith. I'll have to do some research and find out if he lived in Denver before or if he is the second owner. THANKS!!!

Marc Duncan...who owns a gunshop in N. Wilksboro NC...was a PPC whiz years back. It is possible that he may have built your gun using a barrel made by 300GS. Nice guy and a heck of a shooter in his day.
