I just purchased a used 4006. I am wanting to find out more about this pistol because i have really come to enjoy shooting it.

Mine has a stainless hammer without a spur. Also has a stainless trigger. It does not have milling or checkering on the front of the trigger guard. The serial starts with TVC65xx. The right side has A3969.

Anything special about this pistol? I appreciate any info.

If it has adjustable sights in addition to what you have said, and the A3969 is resident on the slide, frame and barrel on the right side of the gun, it is more than likely a california Highway patrol gun. That's how they all came when I was with them.

I concur. I recently sold one fitting that description. It was a CHP issued weapon.

yep, that is it. I had a slight amount of holster wear, but looks to be well taken care of. Internals are in like new condition.

I really enjoy shooting this pistol and I can't believe they are not more sought after.

Got a CHP 4006 last November and find it to be a great shooter. Got rid of holster shine using a 3M green pad followed by a brown pad. With new Hogue grips, it looks almost new.
