I noticed in the drop down, there is a choice for M&P 15-22 with a space and M&P15-22 without a space. For those of twitch an approved SBR stamp, which did you use? I know ATF is finicky and sometimes will disapprove for something like that.

Good luck! I have been waiting since 2/21 for my eForm 1 and the same for my paper form 4 for a suppressor.

The drop down menu merely reflects what others before you have entered. I recommend contacting the ATF, to find out what their examiners will accept.

If it's in the dropdown, it will be accepted.

If you write it in yourself (ie, not in the drop down), it will go 'into research' first, then into pending/submitted.

Ultimately, the one with a space is 'more correct' though. After all, it's a Smith&Wesson Military&Police 15-22 not a Smith&WessonMilitary&Police15-22.

I used

M&P15-22

and included pictures, that how it looked on the lower. it worked

all wrong,

the drop down pick list can be very wrong, just because it's there, doesn't make it right, as those are user entered and the model is what's on the receiver is what they care about, not the marketing names.

Internet argument, for what it's worth.

I assume you KNOW it's wrong because you're ATF. Otherwise......

I wrote what I did because I took an AR-15 lower receiver and registered it as an SBR. However, because I selected 9mm as my caliber, and the combination model number + caliber were NOT on the list, I waited an extra month as my eForm submission was put in 'research', not pending.

Of course, I have had OTHER lower AR-15 receivers where the model number + caliber WERE on the list, and it DIDN'T go into 'research'.

Given MY experience, if the caliber and model are in the drop down list, it will be accepted, assuming all other information is correct (SN, Trust, ...). Eventually, the model+caliber that I provided were accepted. It just took an extra month........

Lastly, who do you think changes the back-end server to add those model #s to the drop down? The ATF, or the users? My money is on the ATF.

Cheers.

you assume a lot more about the ATF than I do, I guess

Pick list is moot point now, you cannot do Form 1 eforms anymore.

I've sbr a M&P15-22 and 4 other ar15 lowers. no issues,

you simply put what the lower says, regardless of what the a list says.

so many people picked the wrong caliber/model from the list and they get rejected and have to be fixed later.
