Help With Bullet Alloy

I was under the impression that this discussion concerned the viability of hard alloys, specifically linotype for accurate cast bullet loads without leading.

Please note that in the referenced African Hunting article, all bullets were recovered which means that the bullet did not fail to accomplish it's goal of killing the intended target. Weight retention is not the beginning and end point of terminal ballistics. Ask anyone who uses a Nosler ballistic tip or similar high expansion type bullet. Also, note the shape of the bullet in photo #2 and the size of the test sample.

I would have to say that the experience of the article's author is atypical compared to the users of hard cast bullets for the last 50 years.
