So I have been thinking really hard the last 2 week if I should go for a Glock 19 or M&P9c and have decided on going for the M&P since it is for me a better gun than the G19 and it looks way cooler than the Glock.

But it is one thing that I don't like about the M&P compared to Glock and that is the trigger reset, on the Glock you can feel and hear it without a problem while on the M&P it is almost non noticeable.

I don't really like the triggers that you find on polymer guns, except on the Walther PPQ Navy M2 where the trigger is awesome! So I am looking through Apex web page in search for how I can improve the trigger on M&P but I can hardly find any information that is helpful for me on the internet about the parts I have a figured out that I want and how they combine.

What I want is a trigger pull that is 3lb or lighter with a noticeable reset, or none at all for that matter, with the same type of trigger that is on the Glock.

So I have basically picked these parts from the Apex web page.
APEX M&P ULTIMATE STRIKER BLOCK: https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid20.html
APEX M&P FULLY MACHINED SEAR: https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid18.html
APEX M&P ALUMINUM ACTION ENHANCEMENT TRIGGER: https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid60.html
APEX M&P COMPETITION SPRING KIT: https://apextactical.com/store/product-info.php?pid37.html

So is there anyone on this forum that has any experience with these parts and how they will work in an M&P9c regarding what I am after in s trigger?

Yes, the aluminum (or polymer) trigger will be very much like a Glock trigger. However, none of the stuff you've picked out will improve reset.

Here's how the M&P trigger works:

The trigger bar snapping back under the sear is the reset that you would feel/hear if it were a stronger snap. The newer models of M&P have supposedly fixed this so the reset is more tactile.

Both my 9FS and 40c are old enough that I was able to use the Apex RAM to improve the reset feel. My Shield ended up being just fine after installing an Apex action kit, reset is very positive and Glocklike.

I would assume most new production M&Ps are like my Shield.

you want the APEX FSS KIT... do a YouTube Check. put it M&P 40 with APEX FSS trigger kit.. youll be happy ... just unsure if you can install it yourself buddy.. I have it in my 40 Fullsize its amazing... very light, very smooth, VERY VERY SHORT and the safety is built into the trigger like the glock your referring to

Get the Glock! It is better than the M&P. With the Apex you get lite weight and that is it. You can install the Apex, just You tube and git er done! JMO DW

Thanks for all the help so far guys. I just got the M&P9 on monday and I am so in love with this gun. It might just be my imagination or that it's been a while since I last shot one but it feels like they have improved the trigger on it, but I still have to do something about the trigger.

So I am taking your addvice and going to get the FSS and trigger kit (if I ever find someone that will send it to Norway), but does anybody know how the FSS kit will work with the competition spring kit?

After putting the DCAEK kit in my gun, a 40c...older model (2008)...get the machined sear.
It will smooth the pull, it will give a cleaner break and lower the weight of the trigger pull.
Start there. If you want more, go more.
Since you just got it, my advice is to shoot it as is for a couple hundred rounds.

My girl just got a 9c a month ago, brand new. They improved the trigger and reset on hers vs. mine. I have the old style sear/housing.

I'm going to put the sear in hers and round/smooth the striker block and call it a day.

I just installed the FSS and have been very happy with it. The trigger pull is about 5.5lbs with the FSS in my M&P 45. I've not heard of anyone using the competition spring kit in combination with the FSS. A letter to Apex would answer that question succinctly.

Hmmm, Norway huh? Man, that's a tough one. Most gun parts are regulated and can't be legally shipped over seas.

I highly recommend getting the Poly FSS kit and not the Aluminum kit. Unless you have a gunsmith install it. I tried two different Aluminum triggers and could not get the pin in the trigger bar. The thing is just way to tight. I have since sent the aluminum kit back and am waiting on the Poly kit. I spoke with many users and a few gunsmiths and they all said to go this route. If you plan on doing the install yourself get the Apex Armorers Block as well. It will make the job much easier.

I have the FSS kit, RAM, aluminum trigger and competition spring kir. The trigger pull is around 2.5-3,0 llbs. It is a great range gun.

I remembered this email I had received from Jon Shadwick at Apex. I included here because it has some good information in it.

Order the FSS.
Install your Stock Trigger Return Spring with all the FSS Kit parts.
That should yield a 3-3.5lb trigger pull without modifications or extra costs.

Additionally you can:
Install the complete FSS Kit with the following exceptions.
Use the Trigger Return Spring from the Comp Kit.
Use the Striker Spring from the Comp Kit.
Start off with the FSS Sear Spring, so we negate the potential for Sear Flutter.

This should yield a 2-2.5lb pull with approx a 0.25" trigger stroke.

Hope the intel helps.

Be Safe.

Sweet! Thanks for the info, I will go for the polymer FSS kit and Comp spring sett, I have a friend in the US that says he will send it to me, it will be sent as a letter so probably go straight throug US customs. I found the kit on the Norwegian Midway store but they want 400$!!! for it.

The poly FSS kit is definitely great, but it didn't do anything for the reset in my CORE9, but the RAM did.

DanTana said what I was going to say.. I put the FSS kit in our Pro's. I left the trigger return spring in. On my Pro (which was made in 2010) I did put the RAM in. On the husbands (2013) I just put the FSS kit in. His has the aluminum trigger mine has the polymer trigger. The aluminum trigger was a royal pain in the butt to put in. I finally had to have the gunsmith help. On my Pro (more rounds through it) my trigger pull is 2.5 lbs. On the husbands Pro, his is about 3-3.25 lbs. I think his will lighten up a little with use.

The apex fss kit. Next to no take-up or over travel. Closest to a 1911 like trigger I have come across in a striker fired gun. That said I only put the aluminum trigger in mine. Result was a glock like performance (a very good glock trigger mind you). The aluminium trigger has a flat surface which encourages a good straight pull. The safe action triggers tend to encourage a angled pull influencing poi.

is this for carry or comp shooting? if it is for carry 3 lbs is probably a bit lighter than MOST anyone would recomend

It's for competition and range gun, concealed carry is very illeagel in Norway :(
