Help with Covid Vaccine, have you had yours??

I'm waiting for the Johnson&Johnson vaccine. When our local VA clinic gets it, I'll make an appointment.

Moderna seems to have lower pain and side effects than the Pfizer. But for everyones' sake get whatever you can.

J&J has quietly been talking about a booster of a slightly different formula at some point later on.

First Pfizer shot this morning. So far no issues. I did have a headache, but I already had it before I got the shot this morning. I am allergic to everything, and it's a breezy spring day here.

Bonus: I stopped by an Academy store after my shot and scored a pair of 200 round boxes of Federal green tip ammo.

Got the Pfizer shots, no problems at all.
My wife has received her 1st moderna (SP?), no problems at all. she's a type 1 diabetic, so we are thrilled that she finally got it.

Had the bug with minimal symptoms; doc advice and my research suggests vaccine, too. I'm down with that.

Got my first Pfizer vaccine today. Scheduled to get the second on the 6th of April. I guess I will "run the wheel" for many of you other folks.

So one of the guys that works for me told me that he won't get vaccinated because he's concerned about getting a microchip implanted if he were to get the shot.

I asked him why he felt that he was so important the "Big Brother" would want to stick a microchip in him?

I got a nasty look and that was it. I'm expecting a call from H.R. anytime now....

Scheduled for this Friday here. Don't know which flavor they will have yet. Both my folks have had Phizer with no adverse effects at 88 and 94 years of age. They contacted my office today to do it en masse. Decided law offices were "essential" services. I'm sure there are many with a contrary opinion.

My wife and I have now had both our Pfizer shots. I experienced some drowsiness after each shot - took some daytime naps. My wife has had some muscle pain following the second shot - her doctor told her that could be a vaccine side effect with some people. It was temporary. So far, so good. We're both still wearing masks when in close proximity to other people and where required by business owners.

I've had two problems through this year of pandemic. Cabin fever and stir craziness. We have some long-time friends who have just had their second shots, and as soon as they have passed the two-week full immunization wait, we're all going out together at our favorite Mexican food restaurant!

Seven days ago today I got my 2nd Pfizer shot.

No reaction with the first one.
After this one I had a runny nose and post nasal drip that night but didn't feel poorly at all.

I assume it was due to the vaccine or just could of been seasonal sinus stuff.

1st on 2/4/21 mildly sore arm for a couple days. Moderna

2nd dose 3/13/21 same reaction as 1st.

Our s Indiana county health dept is in charge of the administering the vaccines and they have done a wonderfully efficient job. Both of my appts were at 10am, I was pre-registered online, had my shot within 3 minutes of walking through the door and was on about my business in 10 minutes. They recommended waiting 15 but I've always been a rebel so I didn't let the door hit me where the good Lord split me. Piece of cake.

Being lucky and 70 yrs old, I got an early shot from the most efficient dispenser on the planet, Houston Methodist. Got my first Moderna shot on Jan. 5 and second on Feb. 3. Like all dispensers are supposed to do, Methodist provided me with a card documenting dates of injection and instructions for reporting adverse effects to the Vaccine Adverse Effects Reporting System at vaers.hhs.gov. I'm in perfect health but usually have had fevers after influenza vaccine. Second Moderna shot put me in bed for a day, then drifted around with a moderate hangover for a day, all reported. With 2 months of immunity from Covid I'm impatient for the pandemic to be over.

I got my first shot (Pfizer) this morning. Very organized drive through operation and the county fair grounds. I was told/taught in basic training that it's good to exercise your shoulder muscles after the shot to help reduce or eliminate any soreness/stiffness. So after getting poked, I headed to the gym for 10 minutes of shoulder exercises. After that I went for a 10 mile bike ride. So far I feel fine.

I had my first (Pfizer) on 2/5 and my second 2/27. Didn't have any issues at all. I had Covid in early January so I figure I'm good between antibodies and the vaccine.

shot felt fatigued but nothing serious.

I've had the first two weeks ago, number two will be EOM.

In the interest of full disclosure, I developed a slight fever, chills, and body aches last night. Only lasted a couple hours, and it was really no big deal. I had a similar reaction to this year's flu shot.

Just got my first, Pfizer. I was warned that since I had covid, early December, I have a higher chance of having issues with this first one over the second. Just got off the phone with a dr. friend, he said the same but not to worry about it, just take some tylenol-not ibuprofen or aspirin-if I feel lousy tomorrow.

I got my first Moderna shot a month ago 'mild soreness' and my second last Saturday. Sunday I had diarrhea and voided. Monday I was a little foggy and slept a lot. Woke a coupla times wet with sweat. A lot better Tuesday slept late and was a little weak. Woke up today with a little sore throat but feel pretty good, it could be allergies. I am 69yrs and have several comorbidities and have been afraid I would get the Covid and die. I figure if I get through a couple weeks, I'll probably be alright. I'm not making other folks decisions but for me it was the only choice. I've been hid out out here in the country and making the occasional quick trip to town with a mask. It has been a long 6 months....

A friend of mine got her shot 3 weeks ago, her arm was all red for 2 weeks and a few days ago when she got up she couldn't hear in her left ear, she is going for a MRI.

A few of my friends had a lot of discomfort after the second shot, same as most of you have experienced.

Signed up for vaccine Tuesday; first shot this morning. Moderna.

Appointment was 0931...not a typo...0931.

Arrived at 0930. Person immediately ahead had 0945 appointment. No worries; but I try to obey the rules.

Temp scan then to waiting area. Watched five (5) who arrived after me get moved to registration before me so asked 'did you skip me for some reason?' Aide said 'oops' and I was up next.

Registration easy, watched an information video, then to nurse station where I got stuck. Best stick ever...painless. Seriously, had to ask if she stuck me.

Waited the required 15 minutes during which I got the date/time of second shot. All good. Total time arrival to departure: 42 minutes.

I'm particularly interested in experience others have had with the J&J shot, that's the one I want when my time comes up, so thanks to those that report their experience with it. My wife and daughter both became eligible due to work, and both received the Moderna, and both had identical reactions...slight fever after the second shot that only lasted the first night. I will be eligible after folks with existing conditions are done, I hope by that time I'm offered a choice of vaccine.

I had the J&J shot 12 days ago. Had no choice, that's what was available. I had zero issues, not even soreness at the injection site.
