I have a model 36 serial #346083. Would someone please tell me when this gun was made?

Model 36 serialized at 353801 shipped in September 1964. That's not too far away from your number.

According to two nearby yours in the database I'd say Smith &
Wesson probably shipped your Chiefs Special in September 1964.
That's about as close as you'll get without paying for a historic
letter. Even then you'll only get the date it shipped, not the date
it was produced.

Looks just like my gun at time I had it dated by a SW historian at 1964 can’t see the numbers without taking the hogue grips off maybe I’ll do that here In a bit

Pulled the grips last night my number is 343123 according to the S&W historian it’s a 64
