I bought a 5 screw M & P, Serial # range C313XXX (1952-53), a few months ago and love it. The only problem with it is one of the side plate screws is missing, the top screw on the side plate. I've ordered a replacement screw from Brownells and Gun Parts and neither of them have the right screw. What is the thread size of the screw that I need and what is the shank lenght. I hijacked a picture of a five screw to show the screw that I need as my M & P is at the smith's now getting a tune-up. The picture is of a nickel gun but mine is a standard blue. Any help would be appreciated. I'm to the point of either drilling and tapping the screw hole threads for an oversized screw or turning a new screw for the existing threads. If anyone has a spare they would be willing to sell PM me to let me know.
