HELP!!!

Several things - evidently you did not get everything back where it belongs... call the factory and get a pick up tag. Send it back and most likely they will fix it for free. Hopefully it is NOT loaded cause you cant send back loaded. Get the factory to send you literature on your gun that explains disassembly for cleaning.

Sadly, I have another 40ve, but it's 2 1/2 hrs away at my dads, so I don't have it here for reference. Got my shipping label this morning, gonna ship out tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Three things.

1. The gun will not take down (remove slide) with a magazine in.

2. You must dry fire before attempting takedown of the slide.

3. When attempting to takedown, pulling the slide back too far will reset the trigger, see number 2 above. Only pull the slide back 1/8 to 1/4 inch to takedown.

Actually, I should be. He admitted it has done it before...to much badgering via text. He did his own "smithing" to trigger assembly of some design and failed to mention it to me. Needless to say, it's our last business with one another. But, as I stated, S&W said they'd fix, so I'm not too pissed. But when someone fails to give info like that, not good sales practice.

good point about the mag and dry fire.

if he did his own smithing to trigger assembly , when you send it in will that VOID the warranty? or will they fix it back to factory specs and still be NO CHARGE?

Well, it wasnt that darn spring removal thing. He said he polished the trigger internals. With what, you may ask? Flippin sand paper, not even fine grit, like heavy stuff. I didnt lie to them, I honestly dont know the problem for certain, but they said no charge, I reiterated it in my email and letter with gun, so Im holding them to it. Ive not altered or modified the weapon in anyway.

Ha, ha, ha. ****.:(
Seriously, though, I'm sad over it. If they try and charge me, I swear Ill buy a Glock 19, Ill do it!!!:)

I had polished some of my internals and was not charged a dime, they did excellent fast work and got it back to me, polishing intact. I don't know why but now it has the smoother take up from my polish and a clean break at the end which was mush before, im not sure if the smith did something to the sear assembly or if that is just from having a new firing pin spring as they replaced my upper and I've been ranting on every thread how great their warranty service is. If they voided every polish job that would void half the sigmas out there. But I didn't play with the springs, they remained stock, no removal of springs or using springs out of ball point pens or action figures. You will be a happy customer when all is said and done.
