I'm new to shooting and I just bought a Model 10-5 snub nose serial # d291xxx. I'm curious about its history, when made etc.. It will be my wife's carry in the car gun as she travels 80 miles to work. I had a gunsmith check it out and he said it was in great shape with little wear and had a trigger and hammer job at sometime in its 40+ some odd year history. any info will help. thanks

DOM should be 1970.

The SCSW says the gun is from 1969 to 1970.
