I ordered a set of the Herrett coco bola grips from CDNN for that shooter grade 27-2 I wound up sending back to the seller. Just for the heck of of it I tried them on my 4" Highway Patrolman and they look pretty good--better than the Goodyears did.

Very nice. They do look much better than goodyears.

They may look better, but they don't "shoot" better. A friend and I went shooting today and I took this along just to see how I liked the grips. I don't. This gun is much more comfortable to shoot with the Pachmayr Presentation grips on it.

That 28 looks great with those grips. I've been looking at various styles in wood, but as I shoot my 28 a lot, the Hogue rubber grips work very well for me. Wood grips seem like a high maintenance woman. Rubber grips are like that good woman, there for you all the time, low maintenance, and soak up recoil!

Nice grips Mr. Seven! You should add some pics of them to my "Show off your Smooth Grips" thread. Yeah... that would be cool!!

I use those Herretts for a lot of my guns, have for years:

I like them better than stock S&W grips because they are round, rather than flat, and fit my hand well.
The wife and I have used a lot of grips - Ahrends, Eagle, Hogue, etc, but we always go back to the CDNN Herretts.

My old Herrett's:

I got a set of those on eBay, did not know the maker. They not only look good, they feel better than stock S&W target grips. Now that I know Herretts makes them I may get some more!

I have several sets of those Herrett's on my Smiths and I like the fit and feel in my hand. Sorry they don't work for you.

I'm going to try 'em at the range a few more times before I make a final judgment.
