I'm looking at purchasing a set of parrots shooting star grips for my J frame. Based on the photos they don't look like they're very wide from side to side and they may be meet at the bottom of the grip frame about a quarter of an inch., So don't look like overly long or thick grips wondering how they would work on my M&P 340 that's my EDC gun?

Does anyone here have a set of Hertz shooting star grips on a J frame that they use for CCW? If so do you find the grips too long or too big for that purpose? Also I would appreciate if you could post pictures so I can get an idea of what the stocks look like as far as size goes compared to with centennial J frame. Thanks for any help on this.

Length could be an issue with concealed carry. It is usually the butt end of the frame/grip that is the hardest part to conceal. I have Uncle Mikes rubber boot grips on my 640-1, reasonably comfortable shooting and very easy to conceal.

Yeah, I pocket carry a 637-2 with Herrett Shooting Star grips every day.
They help reduce the recoil pain due to the 9mm conversion.

Ouch. My hand aches in sympathy.

In a related note, I ordered custom made Herretts about three years ago. Great looking figure in the wood, even though I ordered the plain Jane model. Also fit my hand well, though I removed a few hundredths of an inch to reduce the trigger reach.

Herretts was a pleasure to do business with.

Herrett's Shooting Stars?
Yes.
They are perfect for pocket carry in George brand khaki slacks.
I've posted the attached picture before.

Tried several different grips on my Jframe but like these the best. I only do pocket carry. Not as pretty a checkered walnut but they work. Ergo makes them. I need to do another pix as it’s been repainted again.

Nope, not pretty, but that is a very practical style of double action revolver grip.

I never tried the Shooting Stars on a J Frame but looks like a nice set up. I've found that appendix carry makes it easy to conceal a larger grip, as the grip lays flat against my belly/side and does not poke out. Maybe I'll try it.

I occasionally carry J frames with the Herrett Shooting Ace grip and Tyler T Grip. It is flatter, fills the hand from front to back, and looks good (if not a bit odd).
