Herter's/Cabela's ammo is on sale. I load almost all of mine but not 9mm. The Herter's 9mm was on sale for 80 bucks a case(500)...So I bought 2 cases and the Blazer Brass was selling for 8.79...Not a bad price so I bought 10 boxes. A question on the Herter's though... I know Fiocchi used to make their Herter's brand..,..but who makes it now. I was told that Winchester makes it. I bought the extra Blazer Brass ammo just cause..I also bought a Frankfort Arsenal reloading press...the Co-Ax that they are making cause it was on sale at 20% off and had 80 dollars in points to use...So I have a 120 bucks in it. Going to see how it compares to the
Forster/Bonanza Co-Ax. I have a few of the FA reloading items and have had pretty good luck with them. I'm a sucker for reloading presses. I'm going to sell one of my Dillon 650s and buy a (new/improved)Dillon 750:confused::D

Pretty sure it is Sellier & Bellot making the Herters ammo for Cabelas.

Edit...
On the website the Herters Select states S&B but the Target says made in USA. [emoji2371]

A salesman told me Winchester, too, but how would you know? I guess if it shoots well enough to satisfy you, and since you don’t save the brass for handloading, where it comes from is secondary. I scoured the boxes thoroughly. I saw no indication it was made outside of the USA.

S&B made the Herters .38/.357 before the Bass Pro takeover, when the boxes were black. The boxes are different now, so maybe the manufacturer is also.

Is all of the Herter's S&B or just the 9mm? I may have to swing by there.

I got a box(500) of the 22s and can pretty much tell they are made by Winchester. in has a distictive bullet shape in the hollow point stuff. The Herter's ammo in 9mm says made in the USA...But Fiocchi has a plant here too. I shot a few of the Herter's this AM through my SA 1911 RO and a mag through the Kimber micro 9...all acted just fine no F to F or fire. I usually shoot 147 Federal HP in both. Should have checked the shotgun ammo to see who made it. But I load almost all shotshell anyway so didn't buy any

The Metallic ammo is ok but I looked into their Shotgun ammo and.............

it is a straight wall design like Estate or Euro hulls, which I prefer not to load and had to pass on even though it was at a fair price.

"Herters" name is owned by Cableas, and yes its been made by S&B
If you go to Cabela's website and check the questions asked about the Herter's ammo, I believe they say that it's now made by Winchester, the equivalent of WWB. The Blazer Brass is just a little cheaper right now. I don't know if it's any better.
