Hey guys, my name is Jonathan, I'm 26, I'm from Chattanooga, TN and happy to be the proud owner of a new OD Green M&P. Picked it up Sunday but I haven't had a chance to shoot yet because it's been doing nothing but raining. I'm hoping this weekend I'll be able to take care of that though. I had a few questions about a few things. I read something about some blue springs and yellow springs in the trigger assembly, what is that all about? Second, from what I have read the MOE is the best model of the M&P, but are there other models? Just curious as to what I have. I would upload a pic but my sister-n-law swiped the laptop so all I have is the iPad. My M&P has a flash suppressor and thats pretty much it. So any input would be great, thanks guys!

welcome to the sickness Jonathan, as for your Q's, the blue vs yellow spring, the earlier models (like mine) came with yellow, to many people were having failure to fires and eject and such so Smith went to the heavier blue spring. as for the MOE what you get with the moe is a different stock, grip, flip-up sights, a place to attach a single point sling and maybe 1 or 2 other things. these things are all awesome but in NO way do they effect how the rifle opperates. if you like the way the rifle looks with this stuff than buy the MOE model because its cheaper than buying a regular 1522 then adding it all later. if your model just has the flash hider, its like mine an M&P 15-22 A1. as for the other models, they make some that are "compliant" meaning the stock is pinned in position and so is the magazine to hold only 10 rounds. they also make the preformance center model wich has a fluted barrel a different trigger, grip and stock.

Congratulations on your new purchase Ive had mine four weeks and Ive gone through four dress changes its fun fun fun. Shoot it and enjoy it and deck it out and have fun. Welcome to our world

Looks like all your questions are answered so have fun when it stops raining. This is my first AR so I'm pretty new to accessorizing. I didn't have any plans to when I picked mine up about a month ago. However, after browzing through all 260+ pages of the pics thread and nearly 80+ pages in this forum, I learned a lot in a short time. I also spent a lot in a short time that I didn't think I would. I'm on my 2nd case, added a bipod, AFG, light, riser, red dot and have ordered 2 shorty mags. Worst part is I don't think I'm done...

Thanks for all the info guys. I've already started giving her a new "dress." So far I've got a Magpul grip and the rails are covered with some Magpul black XTM covers. I'll get some pictures up soon. Been excited all week, and it's suppose to be nice tomorrow so I might take off work a little early and go to town!

Welcome to the circus Jonathan, (just kidding) there are a lot of good knowledgeable people on this site, so go out and have fun. If any problems arise, I'm sure that someone here on the 15-22 forum will be able to help out.:D

Welcome! I would start with a red dot and shoot the heck out of it but keep your skills up on those iron sights too.
