We had all the Thanksgiving food yesterday, and a slice of pumpkin pie for breakfast.

But tonight, COLLARD GREENS are on the stove right now!! The MBH fried some bacon for the grease and is gonna put it in the collards. The house is starting to smell so good!

A friend came over earlier today to play some music and brought a stalk right out of his garden. Then he helped me do some things outside, what a blessing.

It's still Thanksgiving around here.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

What.....................

no corn pone ?

The wife had some at a party last night, told me it was great.
A standard for one of the guest that brought a dish of it to the table.

Oh yes, we had cornbread, (corn pone) or a "pone of cornbread" with the collards.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Being born and raised in Southern West Virginia, collard greens and corn bread was often our big meal of the day. When thing were really good we had pinto beans with collards and piping hot cast iron skillet corn bread.
