Adrian Peterson faces arrest after alleged admission to smoking 'a little weed' | NOLA.com

Oh my-imagine that-smoking a little reefer while out on bond:eek:
I know I am showing a total lack of whatever, but when you've been in this business as long as I have, you're just thankful they show up for court dates and don't get caught doing anything REALLY bad while out on bond.
You have no idea how many times I have to tell these knuckleheads that one of the conditions of bond (or probation for that matter ) is that you can't commit another crime and SMOKING WEED IS A CRIME!!! If it's in your urine that means you smoked it!!! Nobody's gonna believe that you were in a room with people smoking and caught it second hand. You've got to really spell it out for them. Hell they get incensed when they're told they can't drink while on probation for drug offenses. You people in the outside world have absolutely no idea of the what goes on in the criminal justice system-if you did you'd slash your wrists.

When your clients tell you that you should tell them you only got their daughter a little pregnant.

After dealing with what you have to deal with daily the misfits on this forum must seem like the Baptist choir on Sunday morning. Two words...Evan Williams. Recommended daily dosage.

I Have a friend who has about 35 people on house arrest. Every week or so they have to give a urine sample to check for drugs.

This women tested positive for Marijuana and said that she hadn't smoked any and must have gotten in her system from having "Sex" with her Boyfriend. Go to jail do not pass go.

That's why these people are in jail because they are stupid.

I lost count of the people who were cited to court for a violation of probation (consuming alcohol with a no alcohol condition) who showed up for their hearing drunk. Or were late for their hearing because the police cited them for speeding, and driving with a suspended license. On a similar note, how many times have you (LEO) searched a house looking for someone who wasn't supposed to be there and heard their replies. The most common ones, when the perp was found hiding under a pile of clothing under a stairwell...."Oh, you looking for me"? or "Did you want to see me for something"? were typical.

Cage. I worked as a substance abuse counselor. Clients were often court ordered for treatment, I would pee test them as service to the court. I would always ask if the had any thing in their system. They never had anything in them. When the the test came back positive they were surprised. An really surprised when they go back to jail.

Criminals have an aura of invincibility fueled by habit money needs, clouded thinking from the effects of the drug of choice and live in a dementia zone where they think they are smarter than anyone else.

When I first started apprehending criminals it would be amazing to listen to them blabbing from the back seat while all dressed up in designer cuffs.

I had to ask a few early on. The chief deputy laughed and said I know what you are going to ask, most of us asked too.

Hey Mr and Mr alleged criminal I hear you saying cops are stupid, you say you are too smart to get caught. So answer me this, why are you in cuffs? After they bat their eyes a time or two they say you cops were just lucky.

The Chief laughed and said yep, that is the question. You can ask 100 times and will always get the we are lucky part.

For most of their lives adhering to rules were not, well adhered to. They can do anything and lie or get a small hand slap. Most of the time nothing happens. So when they are on bail, smoke a little it won't be noticed and if it is lie, claim 2nd hand sex smoke joint puffing it ain't me. And they have attorney to take care of a little smoke...
