So I pick my new mp15-22 up this afternoon. I was in a choice between the mossberg ar22 tactical and this gun, you can see what I picked.

So anyways I'm from southern Illinois or I mean illanazi. Served in the marine corps and I support the 2nd amendment.

Wife wouldn't let me spend 1k on a m4 cause we have a 4 month old son.

The only thing I've ordered for 15-22 is a soft case, extra mag later tonight.

Congrats and welcome from Texas... good shooting to ya... and remember extra mags and ammo...

By picking the 15-22 you saved alot of time in just breaking the rifle down. Excellent choice and welcome. Enjoy!

Welcome Aboard. Good choice, too bad about the M4. There is always later :o I think you'll like the 15-22. Simple and easy. Plenty of add on's for it too.

You definitely made the right choice with the S&W. Maybe when all the panic buying is over, someone that really couldn't afford to buy that AR that they just purchased will need to sell it at a descent price. In the meantime, most of your add-ons should carry over to the AR.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. It may seem like you compromised on the 15-22 but you certainly won't end up regretting it. When you can go shoot 500+ rounds for cheap, you'll see why we all love this rifle so much.

The only thing I wont like it the sound of the .22, I am so use to a shot that can be heard from a distance. A .22 revolver is loud, since it has a short barrel, my old Marlin .22 is quite. Is there a way to make this beautiful weapon have some bark?

I picked up a 15-22 in place of a m&p 15 sport. You just can't find them in today's environment. Haven't been able to shoot my 22 yet but I am happy with my purchase. Welcome aboard and enjoy.

Congrats on the new rifle. I put a deposit on a 15-22 yesterday and should be able to pick it up next week.

I already have an AR but wanted something cheaper to shoot during the ammo run.

You are kidding, right? The overwhelming majority of shooters was something to be quieter.

If you want a noise maker, get something in .223/5.56 or .308/7.62 ... Or maybe .50 BMG. :)

Nah it will be all good, I did how ever make my first purchase for it. 2 25 round mags from s&w

From where I sit there really was no choice.....

About the only ways to make the 15-22 louder:

1) Use CCI Stingers exclusively. (Your accuracy will suffer.)

2) Experiment with muzzle brakes. Gravitate towards actual brakes over flash suppressers. These may not make the rifle "louder" but it may appear louder to the shooter or those immediately nearby.
