Hi from South Central Kansas... my local FFL is ordering a new M&P9C for me to go with the S&W 1500 .243 I've had in the collection for years. I thought I'd join this forum to stay abreast of S&W information in general and for the M&P in particular.
I've been a long-time long gun and revolver owner, mostly for hunting birds and deer. However, after seeing crime grow and our Sheriff actually conducting self-awareness seminars in our area, I decided to get a SD pistol. I first bought a Ruger SR40C to supplement my Ruger Security Six. Now I also own one of their plinking pistols, a Beretta Nano and soon the M&P.
Now I'm "hooked" on pistols, love shooting them on my rural property and recently submitted my CCL application. I look forward to the arrival of the M&P so I can use it for practice, home defense, and having it for the cc rotation.
