Hi Tim, I'm in Auckland but will be moving in about 4 weeks as the company I work for is relocating over to where the kangaroos are and was offered my job if I wanted to move.I'm single so I said yes.

Well that's great! Yes, I remember Auckland quite well...it was very nice. I wish some one would offer me a job in Australia. Will the move affect your ability to own certain guns, or are the laws fairly similar? If I recall correctly, semi-auto rifles are not allowed in Australia...not sure about handguns/shotguns.
If the economic climate in NZ is anything like it is here, then having a job is a very good thing (I've been unemployed for 10 months now.) To what part of Australia will you be moving? I loved Melbourne & Sydney as well as Cairns up north. Afraid I didn't make it to Perth.

Tim, I'll be moving to Queensland,Between the Gold Coast and Brisbane is where work will be located.The gunshop is just down the road from there,But the gunsmith is in Brisbane about 30 minutes away.My rifles will be stored at dad's place here in NZ.Handguns are no problem in Australia but no semi auto rifles or shotguns unless you have a special permit.
