I am ex Cape Town now living in Pennsylvania.
In PA all you need to do is pass the background check. In my case it takes~ 3 minutes and you walk out with your new toy. No waiting!
I have the 15-22 pistol. When it doesn't jam it's great. Mine was jamming every 2 or 3 shots. I had to adjust the extractor so that it was just not touching the breech block. Once I did that it works great!
