I have a 686+, 2 Kimber K6 (2 and 4in) and finally got my 617-6 last week! Very excited! It shoots well, feels good in my hand; however, I have tap out the spent casings with a light hammer and a dowel. Severely deflated my expectation of a quality piece of hardware.

Hmmm, I also have a 686-1 and a 617-6. Got the 617 2 years ago and have never had casings stick in the cylinder. Accuracy is incredible with the scope. Bet my son I could put a bullet through the center hole of a cd disc at 20 yds without nicking the plastic. I put 2 side by side. It was great. Perhaps the rounds you shot were high power!?

High from Alabama , .22 revolvers are bad about sticking cases . Scrub the charging holes with Hoppes 9 and follow up with CLP. I had to scrub the heck out of my Model 18

Greetings from Ct. A great forum here. Search for threads about sticking cases in the .22 revolvers. Lots of suggestions about how to resolve up to and including reaming the cylinder holes.

I bought a Manson reamer, it took about 10 minutes and removed almost nothing but no more sticking cases. This on a pre 18. Can be done with the pistol assembled. Prior to that removing cases required a block of wood and some work. Polishing and cleaning did nothing to solving the problem.

I shot CCI standard velocity, Aguila extra and some Remington bulk ammo. I’ve reading that power rounds would stick. I just sent this back to SW, I guess I’ll see what they have to say.
